Visiting the village Giverny the tour will start from the master’s charming pink house where a family atmosphere reigned. Discover the painter’s  v rtfdeveryday life surrounded by eight children: the drawing room, the pantry, the bedroom, the study, the dining room and the beautiful kitchen.

Admire his collection of Japanese prints, another source of inspiration. End the visit
with the big studio where the famous water-lilies paintings saw the light of day. These paintings are exhibited at the Orangery Museum in Paris.

Then the visitors following the tour guide will wander through the romantic water garden, with its famous Japanese bridge, the wisterias, the water-lilies pond, the weeping willows and irises.

The artist gardener transformed a simple orchard into magnificent colorful garden: Japanese cherry trees, flowerbeds of nasturtiums, tulips and roses, an explosion of colors for each season.

Marmottan Museum

Marmottan Museum dates back to 1882, when Jules Marmottan purchased the historic hunting lodge and filled it with his private art collection. The collection was expanded by his son Paul before being bequeathed to the Académie des Beaux-Arts. It grew significantly with several high-profile donations, including one by Claude Monet’s son in 1966.

Today, the museum’s collection features the world’s biggest masterworks by Monet. Alongside “Impression”, “Sunrise”, some hundred masterpieces by the painter’s family and close friends offer an unmatched panorama of the art of the leading Impressionist, from landscapes to a unique ensemble of Water Lilies and views of the garden in Giverny. It also owns the Wildenstein Collection of illuminated manuscripts.
